The Government of Mozambique announced the temporary suspension of the Government Electronic Mail Service (CorreioGOV) due to technical maintenance and optimisation work on the platform.

The information was released by the Digital Transformation and Innovation Agency, Public Institute (ATDI), which said the intervention was scheduled for 12 and 13 September 2026.

During the maintenance period, users could experience temporary restrictions when accessing CorreioGOV, including difficulties sending and receiving emails, as well as periods when the service could become completely unavailable.

According to ATDI, the technical work was intended to improve the platform’s stability, security, performance and availability, ensuring a more reliable and robust service for government institutions and other users.

The agency acknowledged that the intervention could cause inconvenience during the maintenance period and apologised to affected users.

ATDI also reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving the quality, security and performance of digital services provided by the Mozambican government.

CorreioGOV is an electronic mail service used by government institutions and public officials in Mozambique for official communications.
