The congress is scheduled to take place from 20 to 25 July 2027 in Nampula city. Paúnde made the remarks during a press conference following his arrival in the province.
According to the FRELIMO official, the event is expected to attract participants from different parts of the country, increasing demand for accommodation, meals, transport, local products and other services.
Paúnde called on businesspeople and residents to prepare in advance and take advantage of the economic opportunities linked to the event.
He said local products, including food, handicrafts and agricultural goods, could benefit from increased demand during the congress.
Paúnde also noted that regional dishes such as chicken, fish and macoa could attract greater interest from visitors, while agricultural and handmade products could be sold as souvenirs from Nampula.
Beyond the economic aspect, the official said the congress should also be used to showcase the province’s productive and cultural potential.
