Mozambique U-20 national team coach Luís Guerreiro has called up 25 players to represent the country at the 2026 COSAFA U-20 Cup, which will be held in Maputo from 18 to 27 September.
The competition will bring together 12 national teams from Southern Africa and will also serve as a qualifier for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
For the goalkeeper positions, Guerreiro selected Ricardo Vilanculos, Denilson Tembe and Elias Artur.
The defenders called up include Leonel Canário, Rizan Romão, Baptista Júnior, Filipe Ngome, Allan Figueiredo, Milton Macombe and Fanuel Macuácua.
The midfield includes Joaquim João, Marcos Júnior, Nélio Matsinhe, Alírio Júnior, Martinho Começar, Khensane Machel, Kine Mauer, Diego Pelembe, Hissan Sócrates, Samuel Salema and Joel Catamo.
In attack, Guerreiro selected Luciano Uafeua, Faizal Abdala and Charif Carlos.
The tournament will also mark Luís Guerreiro’s first official competition in charge of Mozambique’s U-20 national team.
