Standard Bank Mozambique has announced the appointment of Agnaldo Mavera as Interim Chief Executive Officer, following the departure of Bernardo Aparício from the position.
The decision takes immediate effect and, according to the bank, is intended to ensure continuity in executive management while the process of appointing a permanent successor is underway.
Agnaldo Mavera is already part of Standard Bank Mozambique’s management structure, serving as Executive Director and Chief Financial and Value Management Officer.
With the new appointment, Mavera will temporarily assume the responsibilities of Chief Executive Officer during the transition period.
Standard Bank said its current governance and management structure remains fully operational and that the leadership change will not affect the normal provision of banking services.
The institution also reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of legality, ethics, integrity, accountability and good corporate governance.
The bank thanked Bernardo Aparício for his contribution throughout his time at the institution and wished him success in his future projects.
Standard Bank Mozambique assured clients, employees, shareholders and partners that its operations will continue normally during the transition period.
