Mozambican driver Kayo Cêra, 13, claimed his fourth consecutive victory in the CKA Karting Championship, in the Junior Max class, after winning the fourth round held at the Automóvel & Touring Clube de Moçambique karting circuit.
Competing for NBC Team, Kayo finished the race in first place, ahead of Enzo Machat in second and Macombe Munhepe, who completed the podium in third.
The result confirms the young driver’s strong form in the national championship, where he has now recorded four victories in four races in the Junior Max category.
The winning streak comes at an important stage of the season, just weeks before Kayo Cêra competes in the 24th edition of the ROK Cup Superfinal, scheduled for October 13 to 17 at the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato, Italy.
At the international event, Kayo will once again represent Mozambique and the Automóvel & Touring Clube de Moçambique, competing against drivers from several countries.
The young driver already has seven years of karting experience and has taken part in competitions in Mozambique, South Africa and Italy.
His record includes three international podium finishes in South Africa and two in Italy, as well as distinctions such as the Gold FIA Medal and the Best Mozambican Junior Driver award.
In 2025, Kayo finished 39th out of 83 drivers in the Junior ROK category, further strengthening his experience in international competition.
“When I race outside Mozambique, I know I carry my country’s name with me. I want to give my best, learn from every race and represent our country in the best possible way,” he said.
For the young driver, the results achieved are the outcome of a process involving training, discipline, schoolwork, rest and teamwork.
“Winning is important, but I know victory is the result of all the work the team does before the race,” he said.
After the ROK Cup Superfinal, Kayo Cêra is also expected to take part in another international event, the ROK Cup Festival, scheduled for November 28 and 29 at the Franciacorta Karting Track, also in Italy.
With two international competitions still on his calendar, the Mozambican driver is looking to gain further experience and continue his development in high-level karting.
